Incredible! That is the only word to describe the building of Dad’s home. You and all of your subs worked as a well oiled machine to deliver a home. My dad is delighted and beams each time someone says he has a beautiful home. Thank you!
We want to thank you for all the quality and craftsmanship you put into our home. Everything is beautiful and we are thrilled to be here! We appreciate all you have done.
It was an incredibly fast journey from sitting here in our living room looking at floor plans to the finished product in living color. I can’t believe how quickly it all was realized. As we’ve said, thanks to you the process was relatively easy and stress-free. We have been thoroughly impressed with everyone involved in the project, the attention to detail, the workmanship, the ideas, collaboration and above all, the level of caring. We’ve been touched. We’ll continue to enjoy the home you’ve created for many years – THANK YOU!
You were so good to us! Thank you for doing such a great job building the townhouses! We hope that we can do more business in the future!
You did a marvelous job for us. Thanks!
About Ray & Laura
Ray and Laura Knapp
If you appreciate live music in the Rogue Valley, then you have probably seen Ray and Laura out dancing. They can be found most nights of the week wherever a good band is playing. Ray grew up building houses with his father, and maintained the family tradition by passing those skills on to his sons, Brandon and Dustin. He established Sunwood Corporation in Walla Walla, WA, before taking early retirement to Northern California in the late seventies. He occupied his time by building a kit airplane and traveling to Mexico. After a few years, he felt the urge to be ‘back in the biz’. Ray moved his family to Southern Oregon and began building custom high end homes. Laura grew up in Wisconsin working in the family restaurant. Her creative talents eventually landed her a job building props for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, in Ashland. After meeting Ray, the next logical career step was to combine talents. Laura excels at helping customers find the right finishes, fitting their budget and desires.
Dustin is all about the details. At the age of fifteen he became one of the youngest professional whitewater kayakers in the world. His list of ‘firsts’ is long and detailed. While competing and traveling, he also perfected his skills as a videographer. This culminated into being chosen by Outside Magazine to partake in an expedition in Tibet, to paddle and film the first descent of the Tsangpo River. “The Everest of Rivers” was a success and turned into an hour-long documentary on NBC. Eventually, Dustin landed back in Southern Oregon, and back to the family business. Dustin has been the chief project manager, and heads the quality control department. Recently, he married his sweetheart, Eva.
